ZBA PUBLIC HEARINGS
A Public Hearing will be held on Thursday, February 8th, 2024, at 6:00 P.M. at 250 Broadway to consider the following application for an Area Variances.
Johnathan Geist, 1 West Kenmar is looking for an Area Variance for proposed garage structure to be built within the minimum setbacks in the R-1 Zone in the Village Code.
The location of the potential garage is encroaching the minimum rear setbacks of 20″ based on Chapter 169-15 (G) of Village Code. The property is in the “R-1” zone.
Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc., 431 Broadway is looking for an Area Variance for proposed fencing to be installed around the property’s perimeter. The proposed fencing being barbed wired and exceeding six feet in height cannot be approved at this time based on the Village of Menands Code as follows:
Chapter 85-1 Barbed wire and similar fences prohibited and Chapter 85-2 height restriction.
