Budget Workshop Minutes – March 13th, 2025

The Budget Workshop held on Thursday, March 13, 2025, was called to order by Mayor Brian Marsh at 6:00 P.M.

The Mayor led the Pledge of Allegiance.

The Clerk Read the Notice:

A Budget Workshop for Board Members will be held by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Menands in the Municipal Building at 250 Broadway of such Village on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at 6:00 P.M. Mayor Marsh and Treasurer Vredenburg presented general statements concerning the proposed budget, after which they reviewed the proposed budget line by line and answered any questions.

The Mayor will deliver the Preliminary Budget to the Board on Monday, March 17, 2025.

Public Comments:
A resident asked when Colonie takes over the Village Court will they increase the assessment to Village? Discussion followed. The Governor announced that put of the State Budget there is monies for Water Infrastructure is the Village going to apply for the grant? Discussion followed.

Resident Bill Nevins asked during the South End Project if DPW has to work OT is where will that money come from? Discussion followed.

Hearing no further questions or comments the Mayor closed the Budget Workshop at 8:59 P.M.

Trustee Harris made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Trustee Harbour.
