The regular semi-monthly meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Menands, held on Monday, September 19th, 2016 was called to order by Mayor Megan Grenier at 6:00 P.M.

The Mayor led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Open Forum:
Resident Bill Garvey reported several issues to the Board.
A motion was made by Trustee Nicoll, seconded by Trustee Harris to accept the minutes of the September 6th, 2016 Board Meeting as amended.

A motion was made by Trustee Nicoll, seconded by Trustee Harris to approve payment for the following:

Mayor Grenier reappointed Kevin Miller to the Zoning Board of Appeals for the three year term ending the 1st day of July, 2019.
Trustee Harris offered the following resolution and moved its adoption:
WHEREAS, THE Zoning Board of Appeals of this Village was established by Local Law No. 1 of 1976, and
WHEREAS, this Board has approved the appointment of the several members thereof, and
NOW THEREFORE, be it
RESOLVED, that the appointment by Mayor Grenier of Kevin Miller to the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Menands be, and it hereby is, approved for a term ending on July 1st, 2019, and be further
RESOLVED, that the Village Clerk be, and he hereby is, directed to notify the aforesaid citizen of his appointment.
The resolution was duly seconded by Trustee Foley.

Mayor Grenier reappointed Michael Steurer as alternate to the Zoning Board of Appeals for a one year term ending the 3rd day of July 2017.
Trustee Nicoll offered the following resolution and moved its adoption:
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals of this Village was established by Local Law No. 1 of 1976, and
WHEREAS, this Board has approved the appointment of the several members thereof, and
NOW THEREFORE, be it
RESOLVED, that the reappointment by Mayor Grenier of Michael Steurer as alternate to the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Menands be, and it hereby is, approved for a term ending on July 3rd, 2017, and be further
RESOLVED, that the Village Clerk be, and he hereby is, directed to notify the aforesaid citizen of his appointment.
The resolution was duly seconded by Trustee Boulet.

Mayor Grenier reported that there will be a meeting in October at the Menands School with representatives from the NYS DOT to discuss the Van Rensselaer Blvd Highway Project. There is no date set as of this time.
Trustee Nicoll offered a resolution, seconded by Trustee Boulet authorizing PenFlex to administer the Service Award Program for the Menands Fire Department for the 11/01/2016 – 10/31/2017 year.
