The regular semi-monthly meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Menands, held on Monday, April 16th, 2018 was called to order by Mayor Megan Grenier at 6:00 P.M.

The Mayor led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Open Forum:
Resident Bill Garvey stated he is willing to help the Little League with clean up. Mayor Grenier stated he would need to contact the league.
Resident Garvey also saw a tree branch on the property of 52 Clifford.
Resident Garvey noticed a street light on in the park near the gazebo during the day.
Resident Brian Marsh thanked the Board for their hard work on the Budget and process.
Resident Marsh expressed his displeasure with the residents for not getting involved with the budget process.
The Board thanked Brian for his comments.
A motion was made by Trustee Boulet, seconded by Trustee Foley to accept the minutes of the April 2nd, 2018 Board Meeting.

There was a discussion regarding incorrect water/sewer usage for 117 Menand Road
(Rte. 378). Trustee Foley offered, seconded by Trustee Nicoll the following resolutions:
WHEREAS, Water/Sewer bills for 117 Menand Rd (Rte. 378). The service period May 1, 2008 to October 31,2016 incorrectly included sewer charges in the amount of $1,618.27. Residence has septic and is not connected to the Villages sewer system.
NOW RESOLVED, that a total of $1,618.27 be deducted from the original sewer roll total for the period May 1, 2008 to October 31, 2016, and be it further refunded to homeowner.

A motion was made by Trustee Nicoll, seconded by Trustee Boulet to appoint Michael Steurer to the position of Fire Chief, Ben Lattanzio as 1st Assistant Chief, Brian Franklin as 2nd Assistant Chief, Harvey Bender and Kirk Montanye Captains, and Brad Gallotta Lieutenant.

Trustee Foley made a motion to approve the Auction Bids for Engine 425 in the amount of $4,200.00, seconded by Trustee Boulet.

Mayor Grenier read report from Easter Party.
Mayor Grenier is stilling working with the Fire Department on SOG’s.
Mayor Grenier thanked everyone that came out last Saturday to help clean up the field for Little League.
Eric Johnson from Chazen Companies stated that Dave Ingalls representing 5 Elmwood Road asked if they could waive the Pre-Application Conference. A discussion followed and the Board decided not to grant the waiver and follow the typical site plan review process. Eric will notify Dave Ingalls of Boards decision.
The Clerk advised the Board that Monday, April 30th at 5:30 P.M. a presentation of the Village Vision: Comprehensive Plan public presentation will be presented by SUNY students.
